In fact, over 90% of all consumers watch online video content, according to AYTM Market Research. This makes up a really large part of the market which can go unattended if small business owners don’t include videos in their website.

The announcement that eBay, one of the world’s largest e-commerce retailers, would spin-off leading online payment processor PayPal that it acquired in 2002, as a separate entity did not come as a surprise to many in the industry. It is anticipated that the move will provide PayPal with the ability to compete more effectively to meet the demands of a fast growing e-commerce and mobile payment industry.
The number of website visitors from mobile devices now exceeds desktops. More than 75 percent of Australians are using their mobile devices to surf the web, according to a report from IDG Magnaglobal. “We recorded 30% penetration of smart phones in 2010 and this has shot to 70% currently,” said Victor Corones, managing director, MagnaGlobal. “However we are seeing slower growth into the future and between now and 2015 smart phone ownership will grow another 8%.”
